POLAR BEAR FREEZING & STORAGE CORPORATION is commercial Cold Storage Company located at #48 A. Rodriguez Ave., Manggahan, Pasig City, and leases out its facilities to Food Processors and Importers and Exporters of frozen and chilled commodities, at very reasonable costs. POLAR BEAR was incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 17,1993 and started its operations on May 13, 1994.

With its first plant fully operational and serving the needs of the FOOD INDUSTRY, the management> realized the needs of Mindanao for a controlled temperature room of the region’s food chain deployment and the development of the food industry. Four years later, POLAR 2 located at Davao Fish Port Complex, Daliao, Toril, Davao City was set up and started its operation August 8, 1998.

POLAR BEAR is proud of being recognized not only by local government and private affiliations, National Meat Inspection and Commission (NMIC) and Cold Chain Association of the Philippines (CCAP), but international as well, International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO).

Again, to further improve the situation of food industry and to comply with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards, POLAR 3 was then set up, to separate storage of Meats from Dairy products. The said storage is located adjacent to POLAR BEAR I and is operational September of 2003.

The decision to open the next Polar Bear in Misamis Oriental came about due to the arising need of most of our clientele to have a storage facility in strategic location in the area of Northern Mindanao.

PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate is an ideal location since it has a port facility which will enable them to receive and ship products (refrigerated) for inter-island and international.

POLAR BEAR has utilized update equipment in the construction of storage plant, only the best materials as well as reliable contractors where invited to share parts in this project.
